Further to the software ARQA Technologies provides a range of services based on its own Technical centers.ARQA Technologies established QUIK Technical Centers in Novosibirsk, Moscow and Kiev to provide services for hosted solutions and additional services for brokers. Software complexes are supported by skilled personnel of ARQA Technologies.
Services offered by Technical Centers
allow the brokers to:
- 1 simplify the use of software/hardware packages of the brokers’ systems by means of outsourcing them (for more information, see QUIK system outsourcing),
- 2 organize backup solutions for the case of contingency,
- 3 also reduce communication cost (for more information, see Access Server Hosting)
The Technical Centers are provided with two-level power supply security system including a high-capacity UPS and automatic system of switching to the standby power source. Connection to RTS and MICEX trading systems is carried out via dedicated reserved lines with automatic switching between them. All critically important equipment is backed up. Programming and technological solutions ensuring automatic switching (recovery) in case of failure. The data backup is made on a daily basis. The physical security of technical center rooms is guaranteed by 24-hour guarding with the use of surveillance equipment.
QUIK outsourcing is a leasing provision of QUIK program complex, located at ARQA Technologies Moscow and Kiev Technical Centers. The service is addressed to banks and investment companies wishing to access the exchange trades with minimal start-up costs.
webQUIK outsourcing is a leasing provision of webQUIK program complex, located at one of the ARQA Technologies Technical Centers. This is a good way to try out the web-technology of the clients’ servicing and enlarge the capacity of on-line access to the exchange markets with minimal initial costs.
«Hot Standby» Method is a reservation of QUIK system in Technical center for situations when the main server breaks down.If any of interacting components of QUIK system fail, it may result in malfunction of the whole complex. Possible events of failure:
- 1 The communication channel loss between the broker and the provider;
- 2 Disconnection of the communication channel between the broker and the exchange trading system;
- 3 Server equipment failure;
- 4 Power supply failure at the broker’s office.
To prevent from long periods of service failure due to technical factors, a backup broker system is provided with independent communication channels for connection to the trading systems and the Internet.
Location of the access servers in a Technical Center for discharging the brokers’ channels from the traffic made by the users’ connections. Access Server hosting is intended for brokers that use the QUIK Broker system with a number of simultaneous connections exceeding 50.
Q2Q bridge hosting is a service of the module location in a Technical center to organize the Q2Q service.. Q2Q Solution allows to organize interaction between two QUIK servers and to enable access to trading systems via the server of another broker.
FIX Interface Hosting is a service of hosting FIX Interfaces in a Technical Center of ARQA Technologies in partnership with Bloomberg. Connection to the trading platforms of foreign brokers via FIX suggests the use of a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Such channel is very expensive if arranged individually. ARQA Technologies Technical Center allows the multiple connections of brokers using QUIK to the Bloomberg network.
The Technical Center in Moscow provides the operation of QUIK system on an outsourcing mode as well as hosting of different QUIK program modules and QUIK backup complexes. The equipment of the center is connected to MICEX and RTS markets via dedicated communication channels. Communication channels to Ukrainian and Kazakhstan exchanges and the connection to GL NET (SunGard) network are also organized. Access servers of the Moscow Technical Center are located at M10, one of the major nodes of the traffic exchange between providers installed in the RTComm Data Center. The access servers can be connected to QUIK servers that are located at the brokers’ offices via dedicated channels or Internet.
Now the Moscow Technical center is the biggest Russian hosting center for broker’s systems by the number of companies as well as the number of simultaneously serviced end users.

The equipment of the center is connected to RTS market by the dedicated communication channels via the Moscow Technical Center infrastructure. The connection to the technical center services can be provided via dedicated channels or Internet.
Now the center is the biggest training center of QUIK Junior system and the main QUIK testing complex.

Now the center is the biggest Ukrainian hosting center for broker’s systems by the number of companies as well as the number of simultaneously serviced end users.
